Welcome to our new Contributing Photographer, Laurel Logsdon from Colorado!  Laurel comments,

“After a friend of mine saw some of my photography, they recommended that I look into Foundation for Photo/Art In Hospitals. Upon researching the organization, there was no question in my mind that I wanted to donate. My hope is that if my photography is placed in a hospital somewhere in the world that it will bring some comfort and serenity. What a fabulous humanitarian organization! Elaine was a pleasure to work with.”

Many thanks to our new Contributing Photographer, Diana Zelle!  Diana comments,

“My sister in law and fellow photographer, Karen Zelle told me about this unique organization. I have often felt that nature photos would be a wonderful addition to hospitals to relieve stress and anxiety often associated with illness and injury. To find an organization that recognizes the healing, calming effects of nature and has created a way to make these photographs available to hospitals throughout the world is very exciting! I’m honored to be a part of the thoughtful, caring, compassionate Healing Photo Art community, and look forward to seeing it grow!”

Welcome to our new Contributing Photographer Anne Thomas Keen from California! Anne comments,

“I discovered Elaine and the Foundation from a photographer I follow on Instagram. I did a little research and was amazed how many hospitals have been touched by these talented photographers and artists and the work Elaine has done to make this possible. I knew I wanted to be a part of it. Elaine made the process so easy and I hope to meet her some day. I am proud to be a part of this healing community and hope one day my photograph will bring a little joy to a bare hospital wall.”

Welcome to Stacey A. Morse, our new Contributing Photographer, for her lovely landscape photo taken in Montana! Stacey comments, “I was thrilled to meet Elaine and learn about the mission of the foundation. I have always used my photography as a way to inspire and connect others to the unique people and places of our world so their vision immediately resonated with me. The uplifting imagery they choose is transforming lives by not only bringing a spark of life to hospital environments but, more importantly, contributing to the wellbeing of others. I believe that art truly is a universal language which has the power to connect us all in meaningful ways and I am honored to be part of their work.”

Our 2021 Spring Interns

We are happy to introduce 3 new interns joining us this spring. Welcome to Gabrielle Napper, Kourtney Dobmeier, and Jaimie Maki. They are Public Health students from the University of Minnesota Duluth who found a special interest in our Foundation. Their key focus this semester will be creating content for our social media pages as well as orchestrating videos of facilities which have received our beautiful photos. Gabrielle, Kourtney, and Jaimie all have a special interest in the psychology of art in healthcare, so we will see that theme in the work they will be creating.
