Nicole comments, “As soon as I heard about Healing Photo Art, I was excited to get involved and contribute my work to the cause. As a wildlife photographer, I spend most of my time photographing creatures on trails around the world. I am an Occupational Therapist and Reiki Master who, also, is a photography enthusiast. I have loved being able to volunteer with this organization, as well as become a contributing photographer. While volunteering, I have seen how much care, effort, and attention Elaine puts into her work, and this foundation, and I am so excited I get to be a part of something so special. Alyssa comments, “My name is Alyssa Dalto, and I’m a current volunteer for the Healing Photo Art organization. I’m a junior at Providence College, and I am currently studying abroad in Florence, Italy! I was excited to learn about the incredible work being done by the Healing Photo Art Foundation, and am grateful for the opportunity to volunteer for such an inspiring organization. As someone who has always loved both nature and photography, I was excited to support the Foundation’s mission to bring comfort to patients and families in hospitals through donated artwork and photographs. After working with this organization now for several months, I can see not only the inspiring and generous work that they do, but also the direct positive impact it has on people around the world. I know that they will continue on this mission of helping make days and spaces a little brighter as much as they can for patients!”

Jesseca comments, “My name is Jesseca Chau and it has been wonderful volunteering with the Foundation for Photo/Art in Hospitals. With my current time studying abroad in Italy as a senior student, I desire to give back to the community. The foundation is great combining all aspects of giving through photography and nature to enrich patient’s mental health in hospitals. I was able to donate a floral photo to a hospital in Italy with more nature photos to come. It was a pleasure meeting Elaine, the founder of the foundation and our intern team. Through many adventures together and giving back to society improving the wellness of others, I am extremely grateful for this experience.”

Elaine and the HEALING PHOTO ARTS, are on the leading edge of what makes healing establishments much more therapeutic and with better outcomes by helping to reduce the often high stress and anxious situations in those settings.
