Enjoy this lovely photo of our new Contributing Photographer, John Ringeri, taken at Dove Lake, Tasmania, Australia. The photograph presented here was taken in the iconic Cradle Mountain – Lake St Clair National Park which is the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. This park is revered for its diverse and breath-taking landscapes: from moss-covered ancient rainforests and deep river gorges to snow-covered mountain peaks, wild alpine moorlands and glacial lakes.
John comments, “My name is John Ringeri and I am an active Melbourne (Australia) based photographer and president of a local photographic society. I came across Healing Photo Art in a recent article in MEDIUM publication and it resonated with me. Personally I have had family members affected by cancer, with my mother dying from Melanoma at the age of 52. I fully understand the benefit of improving people’s outlook, personal mood and well being in their unfortunate condition. Having travelled to some spectacular places in the world, it is a great pleasure to be able to share the visual impact of some of these beautiful natural wonders with those who are confined to hospital treatments for a significant period. In my mother’s memory and my family affected by cancer, I am honoured to be able to share my work through the Foundation for Photo/Art in Hospitals initiative founded by Elaine Poggi.”
