Many thanks to our new Contributing Photographer, Stefano Marsili-Libelli, for his lovely photo of Ponte Vecchio in Florence, Italy!  Stefano comments,

“While recovering from a major surgery, one day I lingered along the corridors of the hospital ward and was struck to see the otherwise plain walls enlivened by beautiful photos of Florence cityscapes. Surely I wasn’t in my best mood, but I really got a kick from those pictures. I read the signature of HealingPhotoArt.org and decided to contact the responsible person. Elaine Poggi is really one of a kind, exuding enthusiasm and a genuine desire to help suffering people. A warm and enthusiastic email exchange followed from my hospital bed, and my offer to contribute was readily accepted.
I immediately grasped and shared the mission of the association to provide usually dull and nondescript places like hospital departments with some comforting, uplifting images, just to remind the patients that the outside world is not lost to them, but is waiting for their comeback.
Apart from the satisfaction of making my photos available to a number of people in need of an uplift, I have met Elaine, the driving force behind all this, a wonderful person with an unlimited supply of enthusiasm and care, whose friendship I’ll treasure forever.”

“After a friend of mine saw some of my photography, they recommended that I look into Foundation for Photo/Art In Hospitals. Upon researching the organization, there was no question in my mind that I wanted to donate.
